frequently asked questions.

What's a waterbear?

Water bears, scientifically known as tardigrades, are microscopic animals that are known to be the most resilient in the world. They can survive extreme conditions such as those found in volcanoes, the bottom of the Arctic Ocean, and even outer space. Some species date back as early as 530 million years.

The early stages of managing an agency can sometimes feel unpredictable and unforgiving, but beyond any particular strategy, the biggest impact on surviving the growing pains of a young venture comes from your own tenacity, optimism, and willingness to adapt to constant change. We are all water bears when it comes to pursuing our dreams.

What does waterbear do?

Waterbear provides marketing automation consulting services.

We offer a personalized 8-week course via web conference that covers the features, implementation, and strategy relating to your marketing automation software. This is designed to empower you to manage everything yourself down the road
Alternatively, we offer professional services to implement anything within the platform from workflow automations to email drip campaigns, form creations, and more.

Do you only consult on marketing automation?

While this is the main area of focus, marketing automation tends to have crossover with other business scopes in which I am also experienced, so when relevant to the lesson, I am happy to provide insights in relation to software integrations, email deliverability, customer success, sales, and general marketing practices.

I also occasionally offer social media, blogging, and copywriting services separately from the marketing automation consulting, so if that is something you need, feel free to ask me about it.

How do I get started?

Scroll down below this FAQ to fill out the contact form and I’ll reach out to get the conversation started. There is an initial meeting to determine your business’ needs and goals. I will also explain what can be expected of the marketing automation course.

Once everything is agreed upon, and payment is received, we will schedule a kickoff call to dive into further details and prepare you for the first lesson or if you are looking for a project, just sit back and wait for me to start on the work.

Will you do an on-site training or co-host a webinar with us?

I am open to these types of opportunities. Let’s discuss them if there’s interest.

How long is the training?

The marketing automation course is 8 weeks-long. This is comprised of two weekly 1-hour lessons that you can schedule via my calendar. Lesson packages, a la carte implementation projects, and asset creation within the platforms are available if you would like additional consultation beyond the course. These can vary widely in length depending on what you need done.

How do you price your services?

The marketing automation course is a flat fee of $1000 for Pardot and SharpSpring platforms. Courses on other marketing automation platforms may vary a bit. Just ask!

A la carte projects and implementation for your agency or clients outside of the course, are $90/hour for 10 hours or less and can be as low as $60/hour for long-term retainer relationships that can be worked out to monthly cycles.
On-site trainings, social media, and writing services may vary. Feel free to reach out to me for further details at or just fill out the form below this FAQ.

Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?

Yes. A mutual NDA is preferred so that waterbear can also protect its own trade secrets. Understanding the inner workings of your business will be incredibly helpful and I am happy to protect that information.

Are you familiar with international markets?

I have trained businesses in six continents and every Spanish-speaking country in the world. Outside of the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, I am most familiar with the Latin American market. I am fluent in Spanish and am happy to conduct business in Spanish if it is more comfortable for you. I also speak Portuguese at an advanced level.

Where are you located?

Gainesville, Florida. I have been in the Gainesville area for 14 years and continue to fall in love with this city. It has a young, educated, and vastly creative population that has fueled a technological renaissance, which has provided me the opportunity to work hands-on with some of the fastest growing startups in the country.
